Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. and her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities when she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following her first trial. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She set an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for the 200m race. The title was upheld at the 2007 World Championships, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo constantly placing within the top three of her races.
