Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was apparent from the time she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her events.
