Iliza Shlesinger
Iliza Vie Shlesinger born February 22, 1983 is an American comedian and actress who is also a TV host executive producer, as well as screenwriter. She was the 2008 winner on The NBC series Last Comic Standing. She became the host of Separation Anxiety and the syndicated dating show Excused.
In 2017 Shlesinger was the host of her own talk show at night called Truth and Iliza on Freeform. There are six Netflix comedy specials. In April 2020, Netflix premiered her sketch comedy show The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show.
Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born New York City to a Jewish family. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, where her family moved to Dallas when she was a baby. She attended Addison's private Greenhill School, Texas where she learned Spanish and participated in the school's improvisation club.
Shlesinger was a performer on ComedySportz Dallas. She also studied at the University of Kansas her freshman year. She was part of Semester at Sea. After that, she transferred to Emerson College, Boston, Massachusetts. There, she studied film. While at Emerson College she worked on her editing and writing skills as well as joined Jimmy's Traveling All Stars, a comedy group on campus.

Shlesinger graduated from college and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand up comedy. Shlesinger was an awe-inspiring participant of the Whiteboy Comedy standup comedy group in Los Angeles. This brought her to The Improv in Hollywood.
